Work Process

This project is based on our main IP - CI-1: Planet Explorers.
We incorporated the original designs of the main hero from the AI faction into this minigame. Our goal was to highlight our core unit selection mechanic, which remained our primary focus.
See below for a more detailed explanation of each step in our process.

2D Concepts

Every idea begins with a simple sketch. This initial concept serves as the basic representation, helping the team grasp the vision of what we're aiming to create.
Even at this early stage, creative minds can start to envision the game's look and feel.

Game Design

Every idea requires a mechanic, so the game designers focused on exploring the gameplay, the control system, and all other essential elements that need to be defined before beginning development.

3D Graphics

Our 3D artists collaborated with 2D artists to bring the characters to life. Starting from scratch, we modeled, rigged, and animated the characters featured in the minigame.

Unity Development

We used Unity to integrate all the elements into the game. It’s like assembling a puzzle, bringing together 3D models, programming mechanics, level designs, and much more.

Unity Narrative tool

Additionally, we developed a complex narrative tool in Unity for our game designers.
This tool allowed them to fine-tune mechanics, create diverse levels, and adjust difficulties seamlessly within the game environment.
